Anniversary is close

It would be very suitable to open some add-on to the public, but my BVE production stagnates for months. Ozalj line is maybe at 20-30% finished and I only could be released as time limited preview...Great uncertain...

Google vs. Yahoo free webhosting

Article is about Western Yahoo actions, not Yahoo Japan.

The Yahoo has quit free webhosting, so my very first page  www.geocities.com/viktor7m is not available any more, as well as some USA BVE sites. Their links should be soon updated at BVE CROATIA official page.

There is no reason to cry for Yahoo since the service was very poor, only 50 MB space, very low bandwith, big add and only 5 MB of max. file upload.

The Google, however, has started Google Sites, easy to create page application with 100 MB of space  and 10 MB max. file size, without bandwith and adds issues. It is worth to try.

Going to DSLR?

The Vallis Aurea route is was photo covered with Olympus Stylus 600 and Canon Powershot A710 IS. A new camera is obtained in June (Canon Powershot SX10). However, the higher quality is desired so I am considering Olympus E-520 or E-620 DSLR camera. Maybe it would not affect quality of textures required for BVE, but amateur (railfan themes mainly) photography is my second hobby.

How time quicky passes (oversea sites)

 

It is two years from Mr. Tom taking notes from BVE CROATIA site. Thank you indeed. Is it the first breakthrough of oversea site?

Will be the list extended? I presume that almost all important oversea BVE sites would allow taking notes. Seems the "isolation" and "separation" of BVE fan is broken, which is great news.

Nicovideo and Yahoo blogs issues

Searching through Japanese BVE scene, I keep coming on this services.

NICOVIDEO - provides also German and Spanish versins but not English (!?!) Sometimes the watching of videos is possibole while sometimes it isn't. Registration is required but (although it seem to be free) it isn't desired feature. YouTube and some other services can be viewed without registration.

YAHOO BLOG - unlike the great free hiomepage service, the blog design is quite chaotic and different plugins makes them hard to load and read. Even GEOLOG is more nifty but pages are also displayed with errors and often without graphic equipment.

I wonder am I the only one with such problems?

Geocities free hosting end of service

The Western Geocities (not Japanaese) free hosting service will end in few months. Therefore, first web address of BVE CROATIA site will vanish.

Blog unification?

It became difficult to maintain both BVE BOX 77 and BVE GARDEN Blog so I am considering closing both blogs and opening to the public new one with different categories. The blog service is already chosen (it has english option as well). It will be written in Croatian and English language while only topics connected with BVE GARDEN site could be translated to Japanese. However, I have recieved some critics about translating to the Japanese...
